so now. Day 4 of Bandung.
should be Jakarta tho, not Bandung.
whatever. just read.
hoho.
BANDUNG-JAKARTA [DAY 4]
before that, do u know what is gender in Indonesia? if we Malaysians call it jantina, Indonesian calls it Jenis Kelamin. you read that correctly, my dear. JENIS KELAMIN!!!! haha. pure malay science geeks that know nothing might state their jenis kelamin differently than they're suppose to if they fill in the Departure pass.
anyway, the Day 4.
Day 4 is nothing really. totally nothing. it's the day to say bye2 to Cassadua Guesthouse and also Bandung. Day 4 was the day for us to go to Jakarta cos our flight to Malaysia will depart at Jakarta Airport. so, to avoid any traffic jam or other unbelievable things, we stayed at another hotel in Jakarta.
oh. the plan to Jakarta was suppose to take a train to go there. but if u look at the bags that contained the stuff that we shopped at Bandung, a TRAIN in one of the most populated countries in the world is a NO-NO.
so....
we asked the Supir to send us there. the Supir said ok.
so around 10am, he arrived and sent us to Jakarta.
we took a highway.
and the highway is..............BAD!!!!!!!!!
IT WAS BUMPY.seriously. never i felt that kind of bumpy road before. maybe Bandung and Jakarta are highlands, so yeah, you can understand why there are bumpy roads.
i tried to sleep, but can't. my head felt like this . i tried to sleep on aqilah's lap, but FAIL. i felt like someone is hitting my head continuously.
we had lunch at this R&R. again, we ate Nasi Padang. i got bored already with Nasi Padang at that kind of time.
then, back to the road.
BUMPY ride again. but i still tried to sleep. i forced myself to sleep. suddenly, i felt very2 sleepy. obviously, i was happy about it. so i slowly doze off. just when i felt the beauty of sleeping, aqilah woke me up.
she said "ALIA,DAH SAMPAI JAKARTA."
and when aqilah woke me up, i was like . found out, when we arrived Jakarta, the road wasn't that bumpy anymore, so that's why i can sleep.
anyway, Jakarta is full of building. a lil bit like KL, totally unlike Bandung. but still, the traffic jam is there.
so, the 1st place we went to in Jakarta is Tugu Monas.
as you Malay speaker already know, Tugu is a monument. it's like the symbol of the country. in Indonesia, their symbol is Tugu Monas. in Malaysia, the symbol is KLCC,not Tugu Negara. see the difference in the patriotic spirit of Indonesia and Malaysia?
anyway, we arrived at Tugu Monas. and maybe bcos it was Sunday, so the place was crowded with people.
crowded; not as crowded as Pasar Malam. but more like Mid Valley when the Year-End Sale already end. you know the difference?
it was 3pm, and the weather was hot, totally unlike Bandung. but still, people were gathering there like they are picnic-ing at Port Dickson. and people even que up in this one train-like thing that doesn't do any interesting thing except moving around the Tugu Monas in 1 lap for 3minutes or less with someone telling the history of Indonesia.
imagine something like the trip inside the Zoo Taiping(i dunno if they still doing this thing again, but they did it when i was 5y.o). and they got this tour around the zoo thing. and the tour guide talked about the species that they have in the zoo.
yeah.something like that.
but a zoo is very big.
the Tugu Monas area, however, is small.
see how excited Indonesian people are when it's involve their country? cool rite?
anyway, near the Tugu Monas, there's another monument. it's called Tujuh Pahlawan(7 Heroes). this monument is a lil bit like Tugu Negara. except that, this Heroes are naked (unlike ours that clad with army clothes).
and with my ecchi mind, i said "hot butt!!". lucky only few people heard that. so,cool then. i dunno the history of Indonesia as much as i know about the history of Wu-Shu-Wei Kingdoms(thanks to Dynasty Warrior for this),so i can't really say anything about the 7 Heroes.
except this one guy who know nothing but dirty things.
anyway, i was really fascinated by number of Indonesian who visited the Tugu Monas. cos honestly, do Malaysians even visit the Tugu Negara? i wonder if the kiddies even know how our Tugu Negara look like. my father told me about the difference of patriotism between Malaysia and Indonesia. unlike us that use Paper for independence, the Indonesians use Blood to get what they have right now. many Indonesia people died during the war of Independence against the Dutch, so Indonesia citizens really appreciate what they have right now.thus, really proud of the Tugu Monas.
so wow,eh?
after all the sight-seeing, we went to the guesthouse.
it's a guesthouse alright, but the place is called Hotel Kalisma.
and i don't like this hotel.maybe bcos only my room have this problem. but still, i don't like it.
so my(also aqilah's and my sis's) room have 2 beds(we called for an extra bed),a refrigerator,tv with only 1 channel that can be watch(lucky that the channel is StarWorld, bathroom that has a dead cockroach that i had to remove bcos of aqilah who is phobia of cockroach and shower that work 50-50.
and also, we can't charge our phone cos we have to pay 15k rupiah per day for it. i know it's quite cheap, but still, we can even charge our phone freely at the previous guesthouse,so why the hell this place is different?
and also, i don't like the hotel workers. that boy who take care of the extra bed wasn't as friendly as the shy boy at Cassadua. this one is totally unfriendly.
ok.
enough of the complain cos i have more after this.
so, after unpack all our baggage at the guesthouse, we went out again. we went to Anggerik,a mall like Sunway Pyramid, except that it doesn't have any Sphinx and Pyramid.
nothing much at that place cos you can see the usual shops that you can see at One Utama, Mid Valley,KLCC and Sunway Pyramid. this place have Crocs, Etude House, Sushi Groove, Mc Donald, and other stuff. the price is almost the same in Malaysia. but there are some good things that caught my eyes.
- a stall that sells KPop goods. mostly Super Junior, DBSK, Big Bang and Lee Minho. cheaper than that DBSK shop at Times Square.
- cheap cds for 75k rupiah only. Super Junior's album only cost about that price. 75k rupiah=rm19. cheap eh? how much is the cd in Malaysia? RM54. cis.
and around 6pm, we had dinner. my father said "ok.makan kat food court" . i persuaded him to eat something else cos i know people already bored with the Nasi Padang. so we went to this food place that sells food like Chicken Steak, Fish&Chips and Beef Steaks.it's not as posh as Victoria Station btw. it's something like Dave's Deli, but cheaper and less posh.
and bcos i craved for Chicken Chop, so i chose something that similar to it. price? only RM8.haha.
then, we went back to the hotel. nothing to do at that place. we watched THE ONLY CHANNEL in that room i.e StarWorld, and they showed Kings(2 episodes), World's Greatest Dog and Ugly Betty. i never watched Kings and Greatest Dog before, but both are interesting. after Ugly Betty, i went to sleep.
Day 5, which is the last day will be the part of the trip. to tell you the truth, i should add the last day in this part, but i'm too tired now. especially that my class started today, which, not really started anyway.
ta then!
ps: i had this conversation with my father about going to Liverpool. i told him that i wanna go there before i reach 23.he said "add another 10 years"
