Pre-Master thought

Salam.

Today is Friday. Today is Thaipusam (have a happy one for those who celebrate) and also a public holiday.

It's not like public holiday is significant to me, nway. I've been staying at home for the last few months n to know that today is a public holiday is actually a miracle.

So, here i am. Doing nothing at home n watching Life is Pi. Even the movie does not inspire me to do anything good. I feel bored. I was planning to go out but i checked my purse and i only have a miser rm11. Tsk3. What can you do with rm11? Nothing!

And Najib said we should not complain about anything and give kangkung a bad name. Tsk2.

I should start reading journals now. I should,  shouldn't i? March is around the corner and i still am clueless. Do all pre-Master+PhD students are like this?

Ah well. I am nervous abt continuing my study But i take it as challenge. Truthfully, i am so excited, i cannot wait to start. I had enough holiday and to face another tiring journey actually makes me realize that i can be useful to others too and that makes me excited. I also realize that is a sign of workaholic. But who cares. This is a very good opportunity for me. Compare to others, i am a very very lucky person. I thank Allah S.W.T for that. Thank you thank you.

5th Semester schedule.

i checked Nadia Zailan's blog and saw her next semester's schedule.

i checked mine......

and if Nadia's are packed, mine kinda free.

look at this:

see how free next semester will be? THIS is a good thing. this semester is the lowest credit hour in my whole diploma (not include the Industrial Training) and so of course, things are not that busy.

however, if you look at the courses that i'll take, you'd know that THOSE are not easy subjects. and from the look of things, Medical Microbiology will be the hardest one, cos...it's a medical stuff.

still, nothing is easy.

and that red course in the table, that's Entrepreneurship course. and whoa i never like this business thingy. last semester's economics, i got B-,which is a good thing especially that i suck during the final paper. maybe my carrymark helped me.

oh,they said Mdm Amaliawati will teach Practical Molecular Biology. and when i look at the schedule from other groups, i found out that the Group 2 and Group 3's class for this course overlapped with each other. so maybe Mdm Amaliawati won't teach one of the group.

....and i know some microbes peeps are praying they're not one of them.haha.

(i don't really mind if she's the one who handle us.i don't have any problem with her.)

OH OH! Monday and Friday will be the busiest days of the week. i don't really mind the Monday part cos it starts at 11.30am,eventhough end at 10pm, cos i'm not a morning person.all of the classes on Monday are lab sessions,so i don't care. i'm happier cos lab sessions usually end early, so around the end of March, maybe i have a free Monday.hohohehehihi.

the Friday part is......i-better-ignore-it.

wow i love next semester. no Morning class on Tuesday and Thursday. No evening class on Wednesday. maybe i can watch Harry Potter 7 on the morning of the Thursday, and go to class after that. haha. lucky Bukit Raja is only 10minutes drive.haha.

i'm trying to not blog about World Cup even though i know i'll blog about it at the end of this post.

so firstly, my result.

I PASS!!!!!

YEAY!

ALHAMDULILLAH!!

ok. i feel like i'm a fool and very narrow-minded person cos i only think about pass-the-exam instead of the Dean's List.

but i don't care what your judgement in me, so judge all you want. i don't really care.

i know from the start that my hard-work is not really enough, so i have to think about the reality and just expect what is more logical i.e PASS THE EXAM. my hard work was there, but my plan of study is not really perfect for me to achieve a higher score.

i think that's the smartest excuse i can give. others are just plain lame and childish, like:

• i understand the theories a lil bit later than i suppose to.
• my carrymarks were low.
• i don't like some lecturers.
• i hate economics.

the excuse that i WILL NEVER NEVER USE:

• i went to Super Junior's concert.

THAT i will never use as an excuse. i judge my choice by the fact that i know the consequence after i did it.

and so, i want to say:

ALHAMDULILLAH for letting me pass all the subjects. and i hope next semester will show some BIG IMPROVEMENT.

i'm depressed.

if i'm not mistaken, the 1st time time i ever felt this depress was the time when Liverpool lose to Benfica. i think it was about 2 years ago,no? or maybe 3, i'm not really sure.

but then, the same thing happened again.

except that, Liverpool lose to Atletico Madrid,in a SEMI FINAL. and IT'S NOT EVEN A DEFEAT!

Liverpool won 2-1 over Atlectico Madrid, but bcos of the away goal rules, Atletico Madrid advanced to the Europa League final.

cis.

i depressed not bcos the team didn't advance to the final. i was depressed cos the team played well. they worked hard, but it wasn't enough. one mistake from Liverpool, Atletico took it,and scored and advance to the final.

worked hard but no good result? that is DEPRESSING.

kuyt: sorry Alia. me also depressed.

not a good thing for me considering i'm in an exam mode right now. right now, i'm in a condition where i think "i don't want to work hard. i better watch Glee cos it makes my life BETTER. it's not like i'll get Dean List if i even work hard"

yeah. i'm in that condition.

i'm just too depress right now.

but still, i'm not an idiot.

no way i'll stay in that depress mode for the next 48 hours.

besides, i already watched 8 episodes of Glee and i have another 8 to go. my next paper is in another 48 hours, and those 8 episodes of Glee take only 8 hours.........

for ur info, my 1st final exam paper will be Statistic it'll be on this Wednesday,21st April.

so,obviously i studied for that paper.and so.......i revised the subject by doing this assignment that i'll send tomorrow.

of course, there'll be this moment when i got stuck,cos seriously,statistic is one hell of a subject. my bro asked me if my first paper is an easy paper or not, i told him "none of paper that i'll face this semester is an easy subject"

anyway, i used the past year paper to revise. then, i got stuck at this 1 particular question:

erm.ok. less than. i forgot how to calculate it.

and so,i tried to search my tutorial exercise,to check if there is any similar question with this.apparently,my lecturer already gave the answer for the tutorial exercise,so it'll be easier for us to study.

fungus in soil.

as this is my blog,and also bcos i already change my blog title to something more personal and precise(about my life), so i better show something about me.

me,as in,what i learn,know and those sorts.

so, Nazneen might let out an "EWW,FUNGUS!" cos this post related to that famous topic.

so today,i was alone around 11.15am,cos aqilah got organic class,and KP stayed at her room,and i got free time in my hands at that time.

and like usual,i always do the thing that i seldom do at home, that is, FINISHING MY LAB REPORTS.

for my Mycology reports, i had to draw some fungus colonies that grew from the previous experiment.so, i went to the lab alone,to look at them.

few people was in the lab.some of them i know,some of them i always ignored,some of them are the one that i always smile to.

so i looked at the agar plates.

and bcos i want to waste my time at the library instead at the lab, i only took pictures of the agar plates instead of drawing them on the spot.

haha.
this is when Nazneen will say "FUNGUS!EWWW!!!!"

not EWW-y to be honest. but still,.......

so,now you know that fungus is also in white,rite? they're not just green,you know~

and then,i was off to study at the library,and i did 2 reports and sent them,but the wrong lecturer took the reports,not the usual lab instructor.so maybe,i'll end up with some low marks,eventhough i did them greatly(thanks to my brother's friend that let me copy his book)

moments with the fungus in my house.

last thursday,i brought home this agar plate,called Sab+.

fyi,agar plate is something that look like this:

the agar contain plenty of sugars,like glucose,sucrose and all sorts of things that end with -ose.

the reason i took it home was because i wanna show it to my maid.haha.so that she'll have a clear view what i'm doing at college. i'm a talkative person.i always tell her about the fungi n bacteria that i always use.

oh.the MAIN reason for bringing this home,is bcos of this 1 experiment that instruct me to expose the agar plate at 1 place outside the lab(i.e my home) for 2minutes.

so,i Woke up in the morning feeling like P Diddy,which obviously mean that something is bad.

so i looked at the agar.

i SAW PLENTY OF ANTS ON IT.

like i stated before,the agar plate has PLENTY OF SUGAR. and i forgot that my house has plenty of ANTS,and i forgot that ANTS LOVE SUGAR.

ok.stupid me.

so i shooh2 all the ants.most ants ran away,but 2 ants died already.maybe cos of stampede.

n i got this hypothesis,that maybe,just maybe,that the ants took ALL the sugars inside the agar.

and that is a bad thing for me,cos seriously,the sugars are the main nutrient for the fungi to grow on the agar.if those ants took all the nutrients,i can't even grow the fungus.

but still,i did the thing that i supposed to do; i exposed the agar to the world for 2 minutes.

and so i thought that maybe no fungus will grow on that agar.

and like usual,i was wrong.

DAY 1: the agar looks like this:-

the grey ones were the fungus that i dunno their name.the green ones,maybe,are Aspergillus.

i was kinda surprise when i saw those green stuff. cos let me inform you here,dear citizens of dunno-anything-about-fungi readers, the green ones are Aspergillus,a very dangerous fungus.(tho i doubt that it must be the same fungus that live on an old bread)

anyway,

i was quite surprise when i saw that fungus actually GREW on the agar.maybe the ants didn't really take all the sugars.maybe.

DAY 2: the fungi grew more and became like this:

seriously,i was scared to even touch the plate.i'm more concern now that these fungi are the ones that live inside my house.

scary there.

and bcos my house doesn't have any dettol, cos the whole family only use Lux and Shokubutsu to clean themselves, i brought the plate with the fungus to the university and asked KP to dump the fungi at the lab instead.

and she did.

so now.

be clean.

and please do not be scared when you come to my house.i actually exposed the plate at the dustiest place in my house i.e the place that my brother always spend his smoking times.

the feeling i have rite now about this subject is really depressing. the only thing that make me happy thinking about it is that,i have to face it for 2 hours only. not 3.

so,things are good.
FOR NOW.

you know what, this subject is the most depressing of all. seeing that there are more than 60++ repeaters for this subject just depressed me more.

this subject is not boring. it's fascinating and interesting.

the bad part is, it's not easy to score this subject.it's like "i already know my results for this subject even before i answer it.and it's NOT GOOD"

still, just like what torres said "you can choose to give up and do nothing,or not give up and do something"

it's not a bad thing if i try to read the notes now,eh?

DONE!!

i did my test,and i'll send it to somebody that will send it tomorrow.i want to study wholly tomorrow.

tonight,i'll read biochemistry.hopefully,my mind will be clean and not cloudy or stuffy,cos i really need those meanings of those glycolysis thingy to save into my head.

and another thing, i hope Liverpool will play well this Thursday.the injury victims are too many,that people say we can even put them in 'House' or 'ER'. those,were said by LFCtv@twitter.

so i assume that the LFCtv's moderators don't watch Grey's Anatomy then.

oh oh~~!!

i am currently following UGLY BETTY SEASON 4!! oh,betty changed her hairstyle to a more smooth one,not the bushy one. and i download the 1st 2 episodes of Vampire Diaries.izza said those series are good,so hopefully, things are nice.


i just download tho,i'll watch after exam. i don't have anything plan for the holiday nway.

last semester, i.e during my study week, i had to deal with my physical chemistry's lab reports.

so, the study week WAS A WASTE!!!!! i used the whole study moments in that week just to finish those 3++ lab reports.

however,in this semester,there is NO STUDY WEEK,cos of that H1N1 week.

still, i have about 6days for my next paper,which will be held on friday later. and i suppose to use THIS 6days to study those stuff that'll come out later.

BUT hohohohohohohoh~~~~!!
our dear Sir Roslan gave this assignment: we have to do some research about a certain bacteria. and it should be 5pages,NO LESS THAN THAT.



oh.

i also have to do a lab report that talk about bacteria,and it's more than 26pages.

and the due date is NEXT WEEK,BEFORE EXAM.

SERIOUSLY.

anyway,Liverpool were beaten by Lyon. and it was a last minute goal.haish~.it was really something. Liverpool was good in the 1st half. Aurelio was good, but MARTIN KELLY WAS BRILLIANT!

seriously. he made me forgot xabi alonso. he is 19 btw,so a heaven for me.haha. that was his first start for Liverpool and he made it brilliantly. shame that the match ended in defeat. his crosses were wow~ but that Ngog bongok simply wasted those chances.

anyway,i have to admit. i CRIED when Lyon scored that last minute goal. seriously~~! it was like . and i couldn't sleep after that,mostly bcos we have Scum after this. and i pity Rafa tho. he trusts his players very much, but they just played badly. i wonder what Lucas is thinking rite now. Rafa trusts him very much, but he played like trash nowadays. i couldn't recognize him.

so we're sad that Liverpool lose~.oh,is Perlis lose a match nowadays?

still, aquilani was in the stand during the match. he sat beside Torres,so people talked about Torres more instead of him. hopefully, Aquilani can play around this 2 weeks.

to sum it up, today isn't a good day for me. Amier didn't buy that Air Tembikai that i asked him. i didn't bring my purse. Liverpool lose.and my Analytical chem is 10.5/30,a mark that i never expected cos i thought i did a great job during the test,but in the end, my simple answer got a "Not Clear" sign.

hrm.

lucky it 's not "Not Clever" .haha.

i'm pretty positive today. GO LIVERPOOL!! I'LL WALK THROUGH THAT STORM WITH YOU.

2 tests today.

immunology and biochemistry.

immunology: blame on almie,k-rol,acap and myself. cos those three talked about some LUCU tapi LUCAH stuff,and i was there while reading the immunology notes, and you know what the old people said "hilang ilmu kalau dengar benda lucah" in the end, my immunology test was bad.VERY BAD.all the things that i memorize and read went messy inside my brain.and to make it worst, Dr Hana gave 2 quizzes during the test,and i innocently thought that the DEAR DR HANA will let us bring the quizzes home,but nope,she didn't. wiera asked her:

Wiera: kene bawak balik ke?
Dr Hana: (didn't hear it clearly) you can send those 2 together if you want.
Class: ..........(salah dengar da~~)........(hopeful~~)
Wiera: antar hari ni?
Dr Hana: yes.
Aqilah: (quietly) perlu tanye ke soalan tu~~~?

the test was BAD.again,BAD!

Biochemistry: bad.BUT! i think i'll have good marks,cos i COPIED the people around me.seriously,why the hell i didn't study last night??? seriously, i didn't watch any porn recently, but still, how could i forgot the notes that i read last week??

i'm not happy with the COPY thingy,you know.i feel bad to the lecturer. i'm disappointed with myself for that. but when i think about the carrymarks and all, i was like "oh shit.i have to~~~"

in the end,i chose the bad choice of all.

aish.i feel like i'm a low human being.

my bacteria~~!haha

ok now.i know most of you sometimes wonder, "pemende alia blaja ni?"

and sometimes,i blogged about salmonella typhi,a type of bacteria that i often used in the lab.and i know most of you know nothing about it,especially that the readers here are mostly account students,teacher,statistic student,computer science students and a football fans.

haha to that.cos the only thing you all do is calculate,teaching and supporting your football club,while i have to guess what the hell is this thing here:

anybody genius know this?

let me intro first why i have to guess this:

last friday,i had practical test for bacteriology. the whole class got an unknown bacteria each,and they have to guess the scientific name of the bacteria. after some tests, you'll know the bacteria of that unknown.

so,i'm guessing mine is Enterobacter.why? bcos you won't understand how i know it and also bcos you don't know what is Enterobacter.

and yes,people.that's the bacteria that i saw and found under the light microscope.that's only 1 part of the bacteria from a small colony.

the due date to send the result of the test was suppose to be today,but KP said Sir Roslan extend it till Thursday. cool then.

ok now.i have analytical class later.tata!

ps: i need to learn how to do the hanging drop technique. see?!you don't understand that.

Speaking Test:Poverty

i'm in a good mood now. cos my sister is not at home.cool rite?

she's the dumbest girl in the world. she's too stupid that i can't do anything about it anymore. do your own thing,my dear. just follow your stupid mind~

anyway, i had speaking test today. it was nice. when we(KP,Aqilah and Farhan) saw the topic, we were kinda shocked. we looked at Mdm Jennifer "Madam~~~~" and she said "it looks hard,but it's not that hard actually"

so we were given 5minutes to prepare the discussions. our points were mostly common points;charity,donations and job opportunity. these are the way to reduce poverty in the Third World countries, and Malaysia included.

then,the speaking test started.

i did the intro. and then the discussion kinda mixed up. we talked about football,cos we can make charity by doing a football match.and all of sudden,it's about Liverpool vs Perlis. then, we talked about job opportunity. and when we talked about improving the technical skills of the poverty people,bcos they have to be skilled to get a job. then, suddenly, i talked about orang asli,cos orang asli can live with less money,and they live in the forest, but they still can survive.and how could that happen? and so we thought that orang asli still survive cos they have a leader. and so someone from us think that poverty victims should have a leader. and then i said "so poverty victims should make a society;The Poverty People Society.". i looked at Madam,and she was smiling. and then, i looked at my watch,we already reached the time limit (20minute MAX), and so,i asked them which one is the best point? and KP said the Technical Skill Improvement is the best point. then suddenly, Farhan,being a person who loves to give the BEST idea at the last minute, suddenly said "why didn't they have a reality show for poverty people?" and then i said "something documentary+variety bcos that's the new trend right now" and then we said something like "the poverty victims should join a reality show and show their talents. like the Biggest Loser, where people have to admit they are fat,but at the same time improve their life, the Poverty Reality Show will make people admit that they are poor but also will improve their life"

and after that, Madam asked us to conclude,cos we really exceeded the time limit.and we chose the Poverty Reality Show,but KP chose Technical Skills,hence we chose both.

then, Madam said "now, do you find it hard?"
we replied "Poverty Reality Show is not even in our list.haha~~!!"
Madam smiled and said "so don't worry.your marks are high."

so,when we went out from the class, we were like "YEAY!!!"
i said "Alhamdulillah~!" ehe.

it was nice.

people were asking us, "what's ur topic?"
i answered "POVERTY"
they said "AH.SUSAH~!"

my group is hot,ok?haha.

PS: my exam will start on 30th October,and will end on 13th November.hoho.

today is a VERY VERY NICE DAY.

i feel like doing THIS thinking about today.


cos seriously, among all the days in this week, i think today is the best day.haha.

1stly,i finished all my assignments.
i finished my lab reports(not include Bacteriology cos Sir Roslan just give it today) and CTU essays.

Every night(on this week), i studied with negative spirit,bcos the study was more like by FORCE instead of 'I WANT' .


on Monday night, i read Immunology cos i had Immunology test on the next day, which was BLOOODY BAD.


on Tuesday night, i did the Genetics lab reports after i watched Chuck, bcos KP demanded us(me and aqilah) to send them on the next day, which in the end was kinda (stupid) cos i thought KP already done her work (it's a group work) after her "KITORANG KENE HANTAR ESOK~~". but nope, she didn't finish it yet eventhough she stayed back after class to so-called study with the other mates.ai~


on Wednesday night, i did the Analytical chem lab reports,cos it past the due date. on this day also, KP told us that we need to send our CTU essays on Friday, and she told me to do an autobiography about Al-Battani and aqilah had to do Jabir Ibnu Hayyan,which both aren't that popular among all the Muslims Legends.

on Thursday night, i did the CTU essays and did some of the Analytical chem lab reports eventhough it already past 2 days of it due date. and i didn't study for CTU test and Bacteriology test eventho the test is on the next day.

on Friday,as in TODAY, WE(alia&aqilah) found out that KP did an autobiography about IBNU SINA. seriously,IBNU SINA. he's like the EASIEST LEGEND AMONG ALL THE LEGENDS OF MUSLIMS that can be found at the internet. and she chose that without us knowing it. and she let us do 2 of the most difficult one. still, in the positive note, i KNOW WHO IS AL-BATTANI,and and I ALREADY KNOW ABOUT IBNU SINA.

BUT, like i said before, TODAY IS A GOOD DAY.

i only read the first 5pages of that CTU book, and i got 26/30. cool. thanks to the infos that i read last minute,and also some of the knowledge that i know by heart, i FINALLY got good marks after some bad marks, like 11.5/30(analytical chem's first test).

and not just that, there was NO BACTERIOLOGY test,again. and also, i was focus during the lecture.

and to add another one, my maid made Mee+Hoon Soup for lunch and maybe for dinner.hoho.

so.that's all.
